A Tool Used to Make Picots Consistent
2.8 mm in diameter
Hand Made in Beech And Steel
The whole length is 11 cm (4.35 inches)
The length of the metal spike is 4 cm (1.55 inches)
The tip is rounded, so it is easy to put through the picot
Covered with natural Shellac Sanding Sealer for Wood
This is a tool like Jan Stawasz's that he used to make picots consistent.
The poles are pushed through the picots.
It is not to form the picot, but to use after the picot is tatted, to make all picots the same size afterwards. After the picots are all tatted, you would stick this tool through them to make them uniform in size.
2.6 mm might suit #20 & #30 Lizbeth
Could be used as a picot gauge also.
